- It has a different Olympic-themed color scheme and software tweaks.
Samsung is no stranger to offering Olympic-themed smartphones, and it’s time for another release with the Beijing Winter Olympics just around the corner.
The South Korean manufacturer has just announced the Galaxy Z Flip 3 Olympic Commemorative Edition (h/t: GSMArena), with the same specs and hardware as the standard Z Flip 3. But what makes this an Olympic-themed device?
First off, the device has a “Winter Dream White” paint scheme along with a gold frame and hinge and a black bezel. The phone also has an Olympic Games logo on the lower half of the back cover, as well as Olympic wallpapers, icons and clock options for the cover screen.
It is identical to the vanilla foldable else, with a Snapdragon 888 SoC, 6.7-inch 120Hz OLED foldable panel, 1.9-inch external display and a 3,300 mAh battery. You also get a dual 12MP rear camera (main and ultra-wide) and a 10MP selfie camera on the folding screen.
The Galaxy Z Flip 3 Olympic Commemorative Edition is only available in China and costs 7,999 Yuan (~$1,259) for the 8GB/256GB only variant.
